How Houses Are Built

Every member is placed into one of four houses, each led by a house captain. Coaches build balanced teams based on experience, class time, strengths, and buddy requests — so every house has a real shot at winning.

House reveal: Monday 27 April, 6:00 PM (online announcement via Wodify + email). Week 1 kicks off Tuesday 28 April. Stickers go out during Week 1 so you can rep your house from session one. Participation patches follow near the end of the event as a completion keepsake. Expect hype.

How You Score Points

Attendance
Show up to class. Automatic via Wodify.
House Workouts
Complete the weekly workout. Finishing = points.
Machine Calories
Grind extra cals outside of class. Submit your proof.
Coach Recognition
Coaches vote for members showing effort, attitude, and character.

Pillar 1: Attendance

Automatic — just show up. Wodify tracks it for you.

Each week, houses are ranked by their attendance rate (classes attended vs expected, based on each member’s membership). This keeps it fair regardless of house size or how many times per week you train.

Weekly Rank Points
1st place house 20 pts
2nd 15 pts
3rd 10 pts
4th 5 pts

Pillar 2: House Workouts

One special workout per week. Completion-based — your time doesn’t matter. Just finish it and log it.

When your House Workout runs each week:

Week Day & Program
Week 1 Tuesday Foundations
Wednesday CrossFit
Also available as an option during SWEAT
Weeks 2, 3 & 4 Monday CrossFit
Monday SWEAT (separate workout option available for members who’ve already done or are doing CrossFit that day)

Log your result in Wodify on the day’s programmed workout — that’s how your house gets the 5 pts.

Achievement Points
Complete the House Workout and record your result in Wodify 5 pts per member

Week 1 — “The Opener” (15min Clock)

10-1 reps:
• Deadlift
• Burpee Box Step-Up

Scale: 40/30kg  |  Rx: 60/45kg  |  Rx+: 80/55kg

Week 2 — “Grit” (15min AMRAP)

• 10 Devils Press
• 12 SA DB Thrusters
• 14m Walking Lunge (7+7m)

Scale: 10/7kg  |  Rx: 15/10kg  |  Rx+: 22.5/15kg

Week 3 — “Engine Room” (50:10sec x 3 Rounds, 20min)

• Max Cal Row
• Max Wall Balls
• Max Cal Echo Bike
• Max Cal Ski
4min Rest between rounds

Wall Ball Guides — Scale: 10lb or less  |  Rx: 14/10lb  |  Rx+: 20/14lb

Week 4 — “The Finale” (14min Ladder)

Ladder format: 3-6-9-12-15-18-21… reps of each, climbing until the clock runs out.

• Ground to Overhead
• Toes to Bar / Knee Raises / Sit-Ups
• Front Squats
• Chest to Bar / Pull Ups / 2x Ring Rows

Scale: Ground to Overhead 30/25kg, Sit-Ups, Front Squats 30/25kg, 2x Ring Rows
Rx: Ground to Overhead 50/35kg, Knee Raises, Front Squats 50/35kg, Pull Ups
Rx+: Ground to Overhead 60/40kg, Toes to Bar, Front Squats 60/40kg, Chest to Bar
Any recorded score = 5 pts to your house. Ladder format means no DNFs. How far you get is your score.

Scale / Rx / Rx+ — The Gym-Wide Comparison

Each House Workout gives you three tiers. All three tiers earn the same 5 pts for your house — completion is what counts. But we’re tracking each tier across the 4 weeks so we can see how the gym stacks up.

Tier Who It’s For
Scale Newer members, Foundations, SWEAT, anyone who wants to move well and finish strong.
Rx Confident CrossFit members with solid movement standards and capacity.
Rx+ Advanced athletes looking for the full challenge — heavier loads, harder movements.

Why it matters: at the end of the 4 weeks, we’ll publish a breakdown of who completed Scale / Rx / Rx+ across each workout — gym-wide stats, individual recognition, and trends by house. Not for points — for story-telling, social media, and to celebrate the work.

This is why logging your result in Wodify matters. Log it on the day’s programmed workout with your tier marked — that’s how we build the picture of the gym’s 4 weeks.

Pillar 3: Machine Calorie Challenge

A different machine each week. Calories are earned outside of your programmed workout — before class, after class, or during open gym. Solo efforts only.

Week Machine
Week 1 Rower
Week 2 C2 Bike Erg
Week 3 Ski Erg
Week 4 Echo Bike

The Rule: One Attempt Per Person, Per Day

Each day you can have one attempt at banking calories for your house. Pick your strategy:

Option A — Sprint

1 min MAX effort

Your calories count × 3

Option B — Grind

5 min MAX calories

Straight calories (× 1)

Choose whichever suits you on the day. One attempt only — no stacking A and B in the same session. Come back tomorrow for another shot.

How to Submit

  1. Complete your chosen attempt (Option A or Option B) on the week’s machine
  2. Take a photo or video of the machine screen showing your total
  3. Post to Instagram tagging @crossfitpeakblaxland + your house hashtag
  4. Record your result with a coach so it goes on the tracker

Scoring: All house calories are totalled and divided by house size so smaller houses aren’t penalised. Weekly points: 1st 20 · 2nd 15 · 3rd 10 · 4th 5.

Pillar 4: Coach Recognition

Each week, every coach picks two members to recognise. No form to fill, no action needed — just bring your effort, attitude, and character to class.

Category Awarded For Points
Member of the Week Attitude, effort, and community spirit 5 pts to their house
Special Recognition A standout moment — going above and beyond, helping others, exceptional energy 5 pts to their house

Announced at the Saturday leaderboard update, along with a short reason why. Over the 4 weeks, a member can’t win the same category twice — the recognition gets spread around.

Leaderboard Updates

Live scores update twice a week so you can see where your house stands:

  • Wednesday — mid-week check-in
  • Saturday — end-of-week totals, weekly winners announced, Coach Recognition awards announced

Updates are posted on the physical leaderboard in the gym, on this website, and on our Instagram.

What You Get

Everyone Winning House
House sticker (Day 1) + “2026 Peak House Games” participation patch (end of event) Custom champion t-shirts

The participation patch is a keepsake for everyone who takes part — goes on your gym bag, weight vest, or wherever you rep the 2026 Peak House Games.

How It Stays Fair

House points are completion-based — so no house can be carried by its fittest athletes:

  • Attendance is ranked by rate, not raw count — members on any training frequency contribute equally
  • House Workouts reward finishing, not winning — every completed workout is worth the same 5 points whether you did Scale, Rx, or Rx+
  • Machine Calorie Challenge offers a 1-minute sprint or 5-minute grind — so time-poor members can still contribute in a few spare minutes before or after class
  • Coach Recognition rewards character, not fitness

A Little Extra for the Competitive Souls

The house competition is the main event — and it’s won on effort and turn-up, not fitness. But we know plenty of you love a bit of friendly competition, so we’ve added a soft bonus layer for those who want it.

Across the 4 House Workouts we’ll also celebrate standouts in three separate tiers — Scale, Rx, and Rx+ — so everyone is racing people at their own level, not the fittest person in the gym.

  • Completely optional — it’s there if you want to push, and ignorable if you don’t. Your house still gets the same 5 points either way.
  • To be in the running for a tier, complete all 4 House Workouts at that same level (e.g. all 4 at Rx, or all 4 at Scale). Mixing levels is totally fine — you just won’t be on that particular list.
  • Recognition is built from your logged Wodify results, so if you want to play along, log your workout on the day’s program.

Bring your best effort, not your best time. If competition fires you up — great. If it doesn’t — just show up, have fun, and score points for your house.
